Learning Disabilities (LD) Enhanced Service (DES) – virtual training for winter 2020 Dr Niro Kuganenderan
Barnet Learning Disabilities Service (BLDS) is now offering DES training for Learning Disabilities. This is a self-learning training package to be completed at your own pace. This will be followed by a live Microsoft Teams session where case studies will be reviewed and questions answered. The session is run by the BLDS, with input from the Barnet GP Clinical Lead for LD, Dr Niro Kuganenderan. Participants will receive a certificate of attendance after the live session has been completed. Given the complexities of completing Annual LD Health Checks with the current restrictions, support will be given with good practice suggestions around this, as well as the usual background to health inequalities faced by people with learning disabilities and important local and National updates. There will be three live sessions with small groups to allow for maximum participation and group discussion. To book yourself a place, please email Frances Ellis Frances.email@example.com. Numbers are limited to 15 places per session so we recommend booking a place early. Any further questions about the DES training please contact Claire.Browning@Barnet.gov.uk (CLCH Health Team Manager, Barnet Community Learning Disabilities Team) or Dr Niro Kuganenderan – firstname.lastname@example.org.
Dates: 11 November, 2 December and 27 January 2021.
For: GPs and other practice staff working in Barnet.
