NHS commissioners in North Central London and North East London have joined with the Royal College of General Practitioners to celebrate the contributions made by those retiring or leaving the NHS.
The ceremony aims to recognise the contribution of primary care staff to the NHS and the important role they play in caring for and helping people. It is open to all staff members including GPs, nurses, practice managers, cleaners, reception staff or other colleagues who have retired or are planning to retire between 1 January 2017 and 18 September 2019.

“It’s easy to think of general practice as being just about the doctors – but we all work with teams of people who make it possible for us to care for patients. Everyone has an important part to play whether that’s booking appointments, doing the paperwork or keeping our reception areas clean and tidy.” Dr. Jo Sauvage, Islington GP and Co-Chair, North London Partnership Health and Care Cabinet & Clinical Workforce Lead
“This is a lovely way to acknowledge the vital contribution staff make”, said Tower Hamlets GP, Dr Liliana Risi, who chairs the RCGP north east London Faculty.
